About the company
A Hanoi-based tour operator focused only on Vietnam
Asia Travel Expert Co., Ltd. was founded in Hanoi in 2012 by Jimmy Nguyen, a Vietnam tour guide since 2006. We design and operate private tours, day trips and Halong Bay cruises for travellers from around the world, from first-time visitors to Muslim families who need halal meals arranged in advance.
Our name dates from our early years, when we also sold tours in neighbouring countries. Today every tour we run starts and finishes in Vietnam, and each of our five brands covers one kind of trip in depth.

No. We now focus only on Vietnam. Our company name dates from 2012; today all our tours start and finish in Vietnam.
Why does my invoice say Asia Travel Expert when I booked with Vietnam Tour Expert?
Vietnam Tour Expert, Halong Tour Expert, Vietnam Muslim Tours, Hanoi Muslim Tours and Saigon Muslim Tours are trading names of Asia Travel Expert Co., Ltd. The company name on invoices and contracts is the legal entity that holds the tour operator licence.
Which of your brands should I contact?
Contact Vietnam Tour Expert for multi-day tours and tailor-made holidays across Vietnam, Halong Tour Expert for Halong Bay, Lan Ha Bay and Bai Tu Long Bay cruises, and Vietnam Muslim Tours, Hanoi Muslim Tours or Saigon Muslim Tours if you need halal meals arranged. If you are not sure, write to any of them: the same company handles your request.
Are your tours private or group tours?
Most of our tours are private and tailor-made around your dates, pace and budget. We also run a small number of small-group day tours from Hanoi, and Halong Bay cruises are shared with other guests unless you charter a boat.
How do I pay, and what deposit is needed?
A 30% deposit confirms a tour and the balance is due no later than 1 day before departure; Halong Bay cruise-only bookings need a 50% deposit. You can pay by card through the 9Pay secure gateway (3.3% card fee), by USD bank transfer to our ACB account, or by Western Union.
